Court Business Updates Due To COVID-19

On Monday, August 31, 2020, the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit transitioned from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of the Florida Supreme Court’s phased operations approach.  During Phase 2, limited in-person contact is authorized for certain purposes and requires use of protective measures.  The transition was made after careful consideration of the health conditions in Hillsborough County and thorough preparations within our court facilities.

Even in Phase 2, in-person hearings are infrequent.  Judicial business will primarily take place remotely.  Click on the following link for a directory of remote hearing links by judge.  If you don’t see the judge who will preside over a scheduled hearing in the directory, contact the judge's judicial assistant via our Judicial Directory.

Essential in-person business will be conducted by following the necessary pandemic precautions.  Health screening is conducted by security personnel, which includes temperature taking.  Those with a temperature of 100.4 degrees will be denied entry.  Face coverings are required to enter and must be worn at all times within courthouse facilities. These links provide additional helpful resources.
